Top 100 English words in Morse code (10 words per minute, two pitches)

While working on another project, these were some by-products. I thought I’d share, in case they were useful.

The download is a .zip file.

Included are 200 wav files, each with sample rate of 44.1 kHz, mono.

There are two versions of each word:

One recorded at 10 words-per-minute, with the tones at a more standard 700Hz.
One set recorded at 10 words-per-minute, with the tones at 440Hz (“A” below middle-C). This set might be easier to integrate into musical projects and samplers, etc. May be faster to tune them to your project.

Source for determining these as the “top 100 words used in English” is the Wikipedia analysis of the Oxford English Corpus, which has a lot of overlap with Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA).

The files are organized into folders: 10WPM_440Hz, and 10WPM_700Hz.
