Tommys List of Ableton Stuff
After spending over a decade with Ableton Live (since version 8 back in 2009!) and playing or producing music for way longer, I realized I’ve amassed quite a collection of Ableton specific “stuff”.
I’ve watched probably hundreds of hours of Ableton/music-production video content, read all the blogs, etc. 😅 Everything is personally vetted, and something I have actually watched or used, and considered a good resource.
I’m going to start posting it to a li’l online site somewhere. I’m waffling on if it should live on it’s own. It’s not small. It definitely doesn’t deserve to be “just a blog post”.
What you’ll find (eventually)
It’ll be a curated directory of what I consider the best Ableton Live and audio production resources I’ve discovered over the last ~decade.
- Value-dense content only - Resources that deliver maximum knowledge in minimum time. I’m a dad with lots of life. No time for fluff.
- My own summaries of each item. I’m going to try hard to summarize the main learnings, value, or whatnot, so you can skim and pass anything you don’t need.
- Primarily free resources including YouTube videos, blog posts, and free downloads from across the years.
- Free alternatives to premium tools - Recreating premium sounds and guitar pedals with stock/free plugins is one of my favorite hobbies.
Who is this for?
If you’re a beginner or intermediate Ableton user looking to compress your learning curve, this directory should be helpful.
If you’re a pro who wants to peek at someone else’s bookmarks… you’re welcome!
When
Coming soon I guess. 😅
PS:
For the keen observers, no. This is, actually, separate from the sample packs and Ableton devices that I’ve been posting. That’s all stuff I personally created. The directory here will be curated content from others.
