This is what I believe to be another case of someone (or some company) patenting something vague or general, only to sue someone (for the money) later.

I could be wrong. But I’ve used an iPod before, and my girlfriend has one of the mentioned Creative players. Just how is Apple going to let users sort through their MP3′s by Artist or Genre (etc.) without using a menu like it does?

In my opinion, this situation could be compared to someone having a patent on a ‘handle-like opening aparati for large, hinged surfaces or objects‘, and demanding royalties from every company that ever made, produced, or sold a doorknob.

It’s Stupid.

However: I’m not defending Apple, and perhaps there are parts of the Menu – maybe something innovative that Creative probably did accomplish – that Apple stole. I don’t know. I haven’t noticed anything yet. My opinion here is based solely on the information gleaned from the above-linked article.

A lot of people are aparently really digging the videos that I’ve been getting with Laura’s new digital camera. Mostly videos of David getting slap’t in the face… but there’s others in there, too.

So, for those of you that are trying to keep track of the “Episodes” that are flying around bulletins on MySpace, I’ve decided to post them (or about them) here. Not that I post anything else of value, so I may as well… and perhaps you’ll laugh in the process.

In other news, I’m excited about going to the Emery show this Sunday night. I’ll have to leave, like, right away after Church… but the shows @ The Complex don’t normally start on time, so I should be good to go.

I’m mostly excited on account of starting up xMEMPHISx, and actually representing something other than myself while at a show.

Also, Fine Arts is coming up (road trip!).

I’m having a big-file-pile-o-poop of a time trying to fix DNS problems, domain expiration issues, and saving Laura’s mission-critical email, which has been out for about 24 hours now… geez… More on that later. Like, maybe after I get all of this garbage resolved, so I can actually think straight and tell the story.

I changed the front page of fourfivetwofour, although the guts are still hidden from the public.
